My Story
From the age of five to nine, I didn’t have access to consistent, formal classroom education. Growing up in my family’s small village home in rural Liberia, schools were few and far between, and resources were nearly nonexistent. As a result, I missed out on the foundational years of primary school—years that are critical for a child's development.
With limited options, my family made the life-changing decision to send me to the city in search of an education. Shortly after my ninth birthday, I entered the first grade—again—for the second or third time. But this time, I had a real classroom, real teachers, and the chance to learn.
Fueled by determination, curiosity, and a deep desire to grow, I began to flourish. That journey showed me not only the value of education but how access to it can transform lives.
Why I’m Asking for Your Support
There are countless children in rural Liberia who are just like I was—eager to learn but held back by a lack of opportunity and access to resources. That’s why I’m launching the Legacy Academy International Scholarship Fund.
Your donation will help provide scholarships for underprivileged students in rural communities, covering essential costs such as:
School tuition and enrollment fees
Uniforms and school supplies
Transportation to and from school
Meals during the school day
These scholarships will ensure that children in these rural communities will have access to an education and go on to become productive members of their communities and society at large.
